Emergency Resources 12th Man Emergency Playbook
HECM Alert is Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen's official emergency notification system that gives the university the ability to communicate health and safety information in an emergency. Texas A&M will use the system only to provide official notification of critical emergencies.
In an emergency, we will post additional emergency updates and announcements on Emergency Resources and at emergency.tamu.edu when they become available.

Yes! The Scholarships & Financial Aid office is located in the first floor suite, 123.6. The Office of Financial Aid is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Students may email hecm-financialaid@tamu.edu for assistance. Students typically get a response same day.

No, the Higher Education Center at McAllen does not currently have a gym on site. However, it does have a soccer field, volleyball court, basketball area and kayaking available. The Information Desk on the first floor has sports equipment available for you to borrow.

No, the Higher Education Center at McAllen does not currently offer any graduate programs. Only undergraduate degree programs are available, which can be viewed at Undergraduate Degrees.
On campus, The Coffeehouse is available for coffee, tea, snacks and sandwiches. It is located in the first floor lobby and open Monday through Friday.
There are also a variety of food options at The Shoppes at Tres Lagos, which is located near campus at Ware Rd. and Tres Lagos Blvd. It includes Subway, Domino’s, Fork to Fit, Doña Lula Gorditas y Tacos
and Reset Specialty Coffee.
