The Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen (HECM) will host its first Aggie Tailgate Pachanga on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 at 11:30 am for current and former students and guests to tour the McAllen facility, enjoy complimentary barbecue and watch the Texas A&M University vs. University of Tennessee football game at 2:30 p.m.
Attendees will also hear Texas A&M news, participate in a traditional yell practice with former Yell Leaders, receive free Aggie swag and have a chance to bid on Texas A&M auction items.
Guests include Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen students, faculty and staff, as well as Texas A&M administrators, former students and families.
The Aggie Tailgate Pachanga is the HECM’s new annual tailgate event aimed to bring the local Texas A&M community together to cheer on its football team and celebrate the Aggie culture in McAllen. By also offering tours and a networking opportunity, guests will explore the state-of-the-art facility and receive an Open House invitation for Saturday, Oct. 21 for a deeper dive into learning about the academic programs designed to meet industry needs in the Rio Grande Valley.
