Industry Experience

  • Ricardo Ruiz '21 graduated from the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health. He was among the first cohort to attend the McAllen center and eventually became a tutor for General Chemistry as well as a tutor and lab technician for Organic Chemistry. After graduating, Ricardo returned to Texas A&M to become a Graduate Assistant at the Higher Education Center at McAllen and is now in the process of obtaining a Master's degree in Epidemiology. His goal is to further improve infectious disease research in the Rio Grande Valley, especially research on the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Ricardo is available to students for assistance or guidance with various subjects, including chemistry, medical school, public health, or epidemiology. In his spare time, Ricardo enjoys exercising and playing PC games.
