Cyndi Beltran is the Executive Assistant to Mr. Manny Vela, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Dr. Adolfo Santos, Assistant Provost of the Higher Education Center at McAllen, where she assists with various administrative level duties. She also serves as a mentor to first year Public Health undergraduate students. Previously, Cyndi worked ten years for the Texas A&M Health Science Center-School of Public Health (SPH), most recently as Program Manager for the Master & Bachelor of Public Health degree programs. She served as Student Advisor for the on-campus graduate organization, served as an Executive Board member for the South Texas Area Recruitment Network (STARN), maintained memberships with the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and the Texas Academic Advising Network (TEXAAN) and remains a member of the Texas A&M Women Administrators Network. She also served as a member to the SPH Health and Wellness committee. Her undergraduate degree is in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Texas-Pan American. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world with her husband Bryan, baking, running and spending time with her three crazy dogs Rango, Reba and Coco.
