Dr. Surupa Shaw has been associated with Texas A&M University since 2015, most recently as the Instructional Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M University, Higher Education Center. Prior to this, she was a faculty member at Ocean Engineering Department, TAMU. She also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, with a joint appointment at Mechanical Engineering Department and Petroleum Engineering Department, TAMU. Dr. Shaw received her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of New Hampshire, USA and B.Tech [Hons.] in Ocean Engineering & Naval Architecture from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Her research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics, Heat Transfer Applications, Mechanical Design, Nanotechnology, HP/HT Rheology. She also has strong industrial experience as a Senior Technical Professional at Halliburton [Oil-well Cementing Research & Development].
