Eva Magallán serves as the Academic Advisor for the School of Nursing at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen. She earned her Associate of Arts in Education from South Texas College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in English, and a graduate certificate in Mexican American Studies from the University of Texas Pan American. Additionally, Eva completed a Master of Education in Educational Psychology and a graduate certificate in Adult Education from Texas A&M University.
With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Eva has made significant contributions as an academic advisor and in student services. Her dedication to advising and mentoring nursing students has earned several accolades, including Mentor of the Month from the Latino Aggie Mentoring Program, Advisor of the Month from the Texas A&M Office for Student Success, and Staff of the Month from the School of Nursing.
Outside of work, Eva enjoys reading, learning, binge-watching movies, canvas painting, and spending time with her family and her 14-year-old chihuahua.
