As the Pushing the Education and Human Development Pipeline (PEP) Program Coordinator I at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center in McAllen, Clarissa Torrez supports the School of Education & Human Development (SEHD) through outreach and advising efforts for prospective and current transfer students pursuing an undergraduate degree in education and/or human resource development.
Clarissa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012 and received a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2022.
Her previous positions at KIPP Public Charter Schools and the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio has equipped her with a deep understanding of the educational landscape and college access. Outside of work, Clarissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends and staying active.
