Sheherzad Aamir is the Administrative Coordinator at Texas A&M University's Higher Education Center at McAllen. She plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating a diverse range of administrative tasks and operations within the center. Her dedication to excellence extends to overseeing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and fostering effective communication among faculty, staff members, and external stakeholders.
Born and raised in Pakistan, Sheherzad embarked on her academic journey by earning a Master's degree in English literature from Bahaudin Zakariya University. Driven by her passion for the subject, she set her sights on further studies and eventually moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. There, she pursued her second Master's degree in English at Northern Arizona University, where she had the privilege of working closely with the International Admissions & Recruitment department as an international admissions coordinator for an impressive tenure of 3 years.
Her experiences have provided her with extensive knowledge in student advising, office administration, admission processes and teaching, all of which she brings to her current role at A&M. She takes immense pride in her work and is dedicated to making valuable contributions to the university's success. In her spare time, she loves nothing more than spending quality moments with her loving family.
