Learn about the globalization of agriculture systems, new technologies, applied economics and economic logic to develop the technical skills needed to analyze and communicate about agriculture, food, management and resource issues. Graduates are trained for a wide variety of jobs in agricultural and non-agricultural businesses, firms and agencies in both the public and private sectors.

AGEC professors at the Higher Education Center at McAllen are dedicated to teaching students and conducting research at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Weslaco.
