Green Dot Bystander Intervention: Virtual Overview for Students

Event Time: Thursday, July 15, 2021 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Since 2015, the Step In Stand Up campaign has served as a call to action for Aggies to end sexual violence on our campus and in the communities in which they live & serve. Green Dot aligns with the Step In part of this campaign, providing individuals with the skills and knowledge to identify when acts of power-based personal violence are occurring and intervene appropriately and safely during high-risk situations.

The Office of Health Promotion is hosting two Virtual Green Dot Overviews during Summer 2021 that any active Texas A&M student may register to attend. The Overview is a live, 90-minute presentation that is delivered via Zoom by a trained facilitator. The Overview is intended to introduce the campus community to the purpose of bystander intervention, explore barriers to action, and provide specific ways we can be proactive in ending power-based personal violence.

Students who would like to attend must register ahead of time at tx.ag/greendotworkshop. Following registration, we will send a confirmation email with the appropriate Zoom link.
